Working on Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness was a great experience as it gave me and my group the biggest change from our usual type of CG work. The majority of the episodes had what we referred to as a "2D Sequence". The idea behind these sequences was to replicate the style from the opening sequence from the first Kung Fu Panda movie. DreamWorks Animation was kind enough to provide creative and technical direction on how they created their sequence. With that as reference we created a pipeline geared for television animation production. What's great about getting projects that are different from your daily routine, you get a chance to learn something new and build upon your previous experience to problem solve new problems.
