Tak was Nickelodeon's first 3D series. In the beginning my department's involvement was limited to Post comp fixes; integrating paintovers. As the show progressed and the amount of FX work increased it became increasingly difficult for the CG department and the overseas studios to deliver the quality that was demanded while adhering to the time and production pipeline constraints. Because my group was not constrained by conforming to an existing pipeline and we were already used to dealing with a high volume of material with extrememly short deadlines, we eventually took over the majority of the FX work for Tak.
